Queen Margaret Mission in Edinburgh

Am up in Edinburgh, or to be more precise, Musselburgh, this week. It’s Queen Margaret Universities mission week and I’ll be speaking at each event. It’s so different to UCL in just about every way but the gospel is just a good and as powerful wherever we are. The University population is 90% female and predominantly (it seems!) Northern Irish.

If you want to pray here’s my plan for the week.

12:15 and 1:15 on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday – Lunch Bar talks with question times. Talks on ‘What would Jesus say to… Ian Paisley and the Pope, Richard Dawkins, and Lindsay Lohan. Should be interesting! Pray I don’t get killed tomorrow!

Evening events – a meal at a restaurant tomorrow (Tuesday), a Jazz cafe for Napier Uni on Wednesday, a Grill a Christian on Thursday and a pudding party on Friday.

Please pray that I may speak in a way that shows the Gospel as supremely attractive and relevant to those who hear. Pray that the CU grow in their confidence in the Gospel through the week. Pray for those who have experienced ‘churchianity’ to discover the wonder of the grace of God in the Gospel! Pray for me that I may have such joy and delight in the Gospel that I would be compelled by love to speak of Jesus each day. Pray for the CU Guest team on Jill (staff worker), Jo and Andy (Relays) and Becky (my sister!). Thanks so much!
